Child teeth and oral health care.

I have a 14 month old son and I been taking care of his teeth by brushing them twice a day.  My problem is he is really fussy when it comes to me brushing his teeth. Is there some easier way to make him less fussy?  I sometime put off brushing his teeth until the last minute just because it is a hassle I could really use some good advise.  I want my son to have health teeth with no cavities.
